Yousuf disappointed at Younus exclusion

Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf is disappointed at his Board turning down the team management's request to send senior batsman Younus Khan to Australia to reinforce the batting line up ahead of the second Test but said he has accepted the decision.

Yousuf told 'Geo Super' channel from Sydney that despite his disappointment he had accepted the decision of the board and selectors.

"We had made a valid request but once the board and selectors have taken their decision we have to accept it and carry on with the rest of the tour," he said.

Asked if he would request the PCB to send Younus before the third Test, Yousuf said for the moment he was simply concentrating on the second match starting on Sunday.

Yousuf also confirmed that leg-spinner Danish Kaneria and pacer Umar Gul were fit and available for the second Test.

"They are okay now and 100 per cent fit but we will finalise our playing eleven after having a look at the pitch which has been covered so far due to bad weather," he said.
